That switch is still a mystery to all of us. We started to talk about that at the old site, and no one has confirm what that does. My 88' manual climate never had that switch, so I'm guessing only the 86-87 Sedan had those.

And I'm glad you found the problem. That plug is damaged. If I were you, I wouldn't plug it back on until you replace it.

...about that unknown switch, I'll try to find any info from Mitchell On-Demand!


EDIT - NO details on that mysterious switch from Mitchell On-Demand ...will try to cross-reference my search, will see what comes up.

all the black crap on there is the transistor plastic melted, all of the plug is still there. So I think cleaning all the contacts and sealing off that exposed wire and ill be good as new

not sure on the G1 but on my sentra i resoldered the factory solder on the transistor and i fixed it free.

Could it be the the selector for the temp display?
ie Fahrenheit and Celsius???

Manuals don't have displays. But the funny part is, I think the 86-87 Sedan were the only ones that got them.

Oh yeah, the little switch on the bottom of the manual climate on the 86-87? It doesn't connect to anything. I've had the climate control apart, and it just isn't attached. Idk why it's there.
