Actually I did test the trans it shifted good. Only problem was how to mount the neutral switch. I can't remember if iI had a cel though. I found a trans on Ebay for 300 so I got that instead. Why are you asking? you can try it.

im thinkin about picking up an RL that has a bad tranny...the legend has a better tranny so i figured id see if it could be modded to work. worse comes to worse i could always just get an RL tranny for 150 bucks at my local yard

Yeah you can make it work.... You just have to make a custom bracket and or lengthen the shifter rod. I would just get the rl trans and save you the work.

Your going to have some working fitting the clutch and fab'ing a clutch system
since the RL isn't designed to take one.
Although you could possibly adapt a GS 6MT one to fit with some custom work.

I don't know how far the ECU would make a fuse if the AT computer isn't doing anything.

Matt should know that.
