I saw the standard pricing for one of those sights was basically $800 plus to rebuild 4 struts. Who knows what the cost of "parts" for that process would be.

For ANYONE reading this thread who thought the cost Koni gave you Richard for each set from them is likely

right about now.

I'm SSSOOOO happy I pulled a quick trigger on that one set of Koni reds that showed up here for sale in the forum.

I'm kinda like the OP in that the coupe may not be completely at the point for replacements on the original struts with almost 240K on them yet but the car has been sitting stationary for a while which I'm sure can't be good on them.

I learned from my old civics that getting a set for the future can also be a crap shoot because those seals start deteriorating from the day the shock is made... mine literally went bad sitting on the shelf for several years.

i found some offbrand on rockauto, not optimal but better than my mushy blown KYB struts.
