Default What are my options?

My stock bose speakers are messed up and I don't have much money. What are my options?

I have the premium bose head unit so I have 2 ohm speakers I guess. Would it be worth my time to replace the bose speakers in the back with another new pair (same kind)? I'm looking for a quick fix until I have some money.

I can't find any 2 ohm speakers on crutchfeild.com. If anyone knows where I can find some or has any advice feel free to chime in. Thanks in advance.

budget: $200-$300 at the most.

i would find a member who has a good set and see if you can work out a good price and stack your chips until you can do what you want.

to be honest 2-3 bills is barely scratching the surface on a great set of speakers, you may find a good set but it will be 4 ohm.

I understand you can buy the bose speakers new directly from bose for a bargin price... something unusually reasonable like $20-30 a speaker. I hope someone can shed some light on this because I don't know exactly where to go for this.

Yeah I know. This is a temporary fix. I can barely turn the volume up at all right now without them sounding like shit.

Buy them direct from Bose!

Replacement 2ohm drivers cost like $20/ea or some crap and they're BRAND NEW. It's far and away THE most cost effective solution to rebuilding the Premium system.

Go to Bose's website and call support or sales, they can direct you to where you need to be. It's quite possible - someone around here just got it done like a month or two ago.

im glad that was verified, now my old buddy can get some new speakers instead of them old cracklins he's pushing.

i just called bose and the jack a$$ robert said call the dealership. i tell him i hve had a few people go this route already and he replies, they didnt get them from here.....so i say you know who im talking about and you were the one who told them they couldnt do it, he got quit for about 2 seconds and say that is something you have to go thru the dealership.

you ever have the moments when your on the phone and you wish you were the shocker (wes craven movie)?

anyway called the dealership, and they said no you need to go thru bose for that, i called 3 and they said the same thing.

you may have to call a few times but gl with that. 800-999-2673 (bose)

I went through the dealership and paid $119 PER speaker for my rear speakers. Then I found out you can get them for $40 each or $160 for all four straight from Bose.

I have some bullshit rear speakers that came in Kitty Kar when I bought her. They don't fit right and touch the metal when I hit bumps, shorting out my sub. Plus, they don't sound nearly as good as the Bose do. Unless you are going to spend some serious dolla dolla's on a system all the way around, I would just replace them with Bose.
