How long do you have the header kit? (there is quite some rust for T304)

I was thinking that too.
Maybe a cheap stainless steel.

Lot of company's claim to sell high grade stainless steel but not all of them do.

yeah unless they list the grade normally they are full of it about the stainless. great fix by the way alex, but like T-Clyde said, its not that they cracked, its that they cracked at where it should be strongest, the weld.

a good 1018 steel stick weld per inch can hold...i think 18000lbs if i remember?

But yeah , kotetu better get on with his ish! hahaha

Looks good alex. He did a pretty good job patching that back together. How does it sound now that the header isnt leaking? It was sounding pretty bad this weekend, Im sure its back to normal now with a nice smooth idle.

Swift,

Your correct a good weld should be the strongest if not as strong as the rest.
Certainly in stainless steel only exception would be a aluminum weld which is always very difficult.

So what it looks like is that those OBX headers aren't good quality stainless steel, welds aren't really good i've also heard of some oxygen sensor problems.

But like i said a few posts earlier there isn't a other option and the one that is there is not really viable.
