GreenHornet Legend, this is your lucky day, there is a group buy going on for a Stromung exhaust right now. That will get you the sound you're looking for.

Get headers and you will add to the "powerful" sound you want. Maybe try doing dual exhaust or having a deep resignator with it as well.

Tried a Magnaflow, it was loud (not in a good way) and the migraine inducing drone it produced at highway speeds was not for me. A resonator and high flow cat only mitigated the problem.

The Street Series is designed for the souped up street machine. It features a high flow tuning tube, balanced to the needs of the high revving import engine. The Street Series emits a smooth, deep tone while offering improved performance over OEM equipment. The Street Series is recommended for street cars with bolt-on performance modifications and custom body kits.

Take directly from their website. I find it hard to take a company seriously when they recommend a muffler based on the body kit you have. Too much Fast & Furious for my taste. With all that said, Magnaflow is not "top of the best". This is how I see it, all things being equal:

- Remus/Stromung
- Greddy
- That Sebring poser

Nope, still lower...

- Magnaflow
- Stock muffler

Keep going...

- OBX
- Cheap Ebay mufflers

I guess it comes down to opinion, no need for oh geez symbols.
The magnaflow I have, I love. I've had many compliments on my exhaust and very few negative thoughts.

Everyone has there own opinion:dunno:

ulter mufflers are the way to go, they give deep, not loud sporty sound, very very similar to remus , this one got similar design to stromung

so i think it could give you pretty similar exhaust note, they are lot cheaper too, they are made out of aluminized steel and stainless steel with small difference in price, PM me for details and pricing

Mine has something that looks like that Ebay muffler. I have no Idea what it is but I'm not sneaking up on anyone and I can't imagine trying to listen to the stereo over it. I wonder if I'm going to get stopped for it. If you like loud and raspy then that's the muffler for you.

I would not recommend the style of that Ebay muffler to anyone.

What about a hks muffler? I know this would probably be loud. Do silencers work/help at all?

What? Am I missing something:dunno:
Ok maybe the " wont get a better sound isnt true"
Cant really talk about strumong and Remus bc ive never had them on

But I do like my Maganflow.
I put on Magnaflow, I love the sound. I put on headers and it sounded better.

Fast Forward to 20secs

Good video of the exhaust. WOT

GreenHornet LegendSo I have a magnaflow muffler installed on my legend by the previous owner. It sounds nice. My friend has a subaru wrx sti with a 3in pipe going from the engine to the muffler and the 3in tip on the end. That sounds really nice. Im not looking to redo my entire exhaust but I want to change the muffler. I like loud but powerful sounding. Not like those 6in cans that sound like a little 2stroke dirtbike on civics. And by doing it I dont want to fall into a stereo type. haha. Im attaching a link and I want to know if this is stupid and I woundnt be able to achieve a good/powerful/"meaty"(if that makes sense, haha) sound by only changing the muffler.

I like the look of the rainbow tip. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Make sure you document that 24% fuel mileage increase.

Remus is definitely the best looking muffler out there! Construction is top notch too. I must say it does seem to be a little bit *too* quiet. But once my car is running I will keep it for the time being. At my age, the less attention one attracts from the police, the better.
