Default How do I find out where my car is from?

Hey everybody. How do I find out where my Legend was originally sold? I just ran a carfax on it but the oldest record is from June 1997 with 56,000 miles on the car. I thought it would go all the way back from when the car was sold but I guess not. Looks like the car has had it's whole life in Washington after that. It would be cool to go to the dealership where the car was originally purchased and take some pics (Tyson style). Any tips?

Just for good measure, a recent pic with Crimson Night in Spokane just for fun.

Haha, well his name has been mentioned, it's only a little time before his sixth sense picks up on this thread and he appears.

If your car is registered through acura of america you could call the toll free # and ask them if they can look it up for you

Reporting for duty sir. Mike - PM me your VIN. If it's not showing any originating dealership on Carfax or any other reports, there are other ways to research this. I was in a similar situation with my GS when I bought it -- only had records back to 2001 but knew from Carfax that the car had lived in IL early on.

I was able to have my service advisor at the dealership look up the VIN and tell me not only the dealership the car was shipped to, but the original owner's name who leased it in 1994. Can't guarantee they'll give me all this on someone else's car (in fact, it's unlikely since I'm pretty sure it's a privacy issue and the advisor who I got it from isn't there anymore) but I'll give it a shot. I'm going in for an oil change on Saturday so that would be a good time for me to check on this for you.

I'll have to go to the dealership and see if they will do it for me if they won't give you any info. PM sent.
