Default BNIB Mugen KA7 Non-Adjustable Suspension

For those of you even remotely familiar with Mugen as a company and the products they are known for, your heart started racing before you even opened this thread. The fact that they created a few limited items for the 1991-95 Legend sedan (some of which could also be fitted to a coupe), and then ignored every other derivative until the 2005 KB1 chassis only adds to the enigma surrounding them from our perspective.

What you are about to see is nothing short of a miracle. The likelihood of something like this surfacing at all in our lifetimes is beyond astronomical. Some time ago, we were fortunate enough to have acquired a BNIB Honda Access air refiner for the first-gen Legend. I have to imagine the only way another one like that will ever be found would be to visit Japan, wander far off the beaten path, and discover it covered in dust in the basement of a wizened old car enthusiast.

This suspension kit is exactly like that. We would guess this is the very last brand new one in the world, and it may well be. With almost no Legends still on the roads in Japan due to their laws concerning older cars, any extra Mugen stock would most likely have been sold off rather than stored.

When Mugen was developing a packaged for the 1991-95 Legends, they offered a non-adjustable coilover suspension and an electronic adjustable coilover suspension with a three-position switch, mounted in the cockpit. There was only one such adjustable system known to be here in the US - installed on Fred's departed KA7 - until today. A second adjustable kit was found, along with this brand new non-adjustable version. The adjustable kit has been SOLD. You will likely see it again soon on a Legend!

The retail price on this is $1,800. For some, that may seem astronomical, but for those that realize what a unicorn is being offered here, that price is a steal. There will be little to no negotiation, as the owner of this kit has had this collecting dust for years, knows exactly what he is sitting on, and is perfectly willing to hold out as long as it takes to get his asking price. When payment is received, I will personally pick up this kit, take better photos, pack it back in the original box and ship it myself.

Paypal is project130r@yahoo.com, strictly first come first served. If you have questions, please shoot me an email at the same address above, as my PM box here is full at the moment.

Thanks for looking!

Too funny. What's the drop on this suspension or is it closer to oem?

Yeah sometimes the translation/spelling from back then is a little off. The original Mugen brochure listed these as the "Sports Suspention Kit". The motto on the air refiner doesn't even make sense in English.

The brochure never listed official lowering specs, but Fred said his kit dropped about .5" in front and about 1" rear. Fairly subtle compared to Ground Controls or Ksports.
