Default Road Trip! Brooklyn, NY to Daytona Beach, FL

With Legend meets like NALM, and Tyson's 500K, long trips are almost routine for us Legend guys. This will be my 21st & 22nd time i make the trip to and fro, & of course the 11th time I make this trip.

Two things make this trip very special to me. It has been exactly 2 years & 1 week since I picked up my Legend, & it has been a car of expensive surprises. The second reason is this trip has been completed 9 times in my 1992 Toyota Camry, & 2 times in my uncles 1996 Honda Accord, all relatively uneventful, although the Camry blew out a tire twice, long story.

I will be making the trip in the Legend now, so its a test of this car, my maintanence practices, and of course, luck.

It has been a race to get her back into perfect form. In the last 2 week span she has undergone a CV axle replacement, steering knuckle replacement, & radiator replacement.

Since November my car's maintanence has taken a hit:
- I lost two GS wheels & bent my steering knuckle badly when I hit a foreign metal object on a highway.
- My car was damaged moderatly by a tractor-trailer where I lost my radiator, hood, & JDM headlights. Thankfully, the truck completely missed my bumper.

So if I still kept your interest this long, God Bless you!

I have an alignment to get to, so I'll update accordingly.

Most Importantly, 1,033 miles in a 20 hour, 30 minute time frame, should be fun.

Sean, sounds like a great time. When are you heading out? The Legend is a great cross-country car - take plenty of pictures and keep us posted along the way.

Yessir! It gets really boring, I'd love to take a scenic route, but I think time unfortuanatly is my bigger priority.

Imgoing to "hit the wall once I am in the Carolinas, and ask myself am I there yet? After every mile marker.

I definitely will, I appreciate the kind words!
I will try to take a lot of photographs and keep the Legend family posted.

I am leaving at 10PM tonight, it is the first time I left at this time, usual I leave at 4AM, but then I generally run into traffic in the Washington DC area.

Will do!
I plan to be moving around a lot in Florida during my stay, Daytona, Melbourne, Orlando, and Port St. Lucie to see family, friends, and hopefully the worst team in baseball, the New York Mets.

I got my alignment done by my good friend Jermaine, with the car on the lift, we found a coolant leak coming from the top radiator hose that i did not fully tighten yesterday. face palm... We check all of my fluid levels and she was good to go.

Good luck and a safe voyage to you and enjoy your trip. Sorta envy you and your long road trip, longest I've done in my legend is a 6 hour drive to Phoenix. Safe voyage and hopefully your co-pilot doesn't pass out on you.
