Default How long did your clutch last?

Just to get an idea of how everyone else drives. I bought my 1989 coupe back in 2006 with a brand new clutch installed. Didnt need to change it til this year. About 5 years, anyone else had it for longer?

I got 120k out of my first one and 150k out of my second. Neither clutch was slipping, but I had to replace the engine both times and replaced the clutch while it was out...

I'm at 175K and the clutch is original. Doesn't slip but the throwout bearing or something in there is squeaking.

I replaced the original clutch at 215k. It turns out I could have waited a while longer but I replaced my engine and the dual mass flywheel had to go... so I got a new clutch.

Not sure exactly the last time mine was changed, I would guess about 10 years, every now and then it fights reverse gear so I am sure the time is coming soon.

Of course Ive had an exedy sitting on the shelf for about 1.5-2 years thinking any day now.

Yes, my black Zi is creeping up to 150K (from memory) and I'd say it is the original clutch.
Sisters Prelude has 160K and is about due as well.

Both cars' history is unknown, I'd say I could get around 200K if I drove a car with a new clutch though.

Wink

Replaced factory at 175k miles on my old 88. The clutch was ok, but I was having other stuff done, so I threw in a new one.
