I don't ever want that happen to my fleet. Post results of new emissions test when you have it.

Somewhere, I have a copy of the settlement letter on the coupe from State Farm, if that would help.

Ah man, I miss that old coupe. I tell people all the time about how you flew here to pick it up, drove to Mil-town and back to VA in it. You looking for another legend? I am about to do another complete rebuild soon...

We miss it too, however, we have 4 others that keep us distracted. LOL

P.S. I think my wife would kill me if I brought another Legend home.

So what did you do to get such improved numbers?

Wow; that GS looks noiyice!!!!!!! Keep up the restorations; you are good at dealing with the insurance people.

As an aside, mine has 15" 20 spoke OEM wheels. I keep seeing pictures at jy -- but its sad to see how many GS wheels go through the junkyards and are never findable again!

I replaced both precats (cracked) with ones that are not compromised. O2 introduced through the cracks was affecting NOx

Clear fail has set in on roof and hood, but it's still in pretty good condition all things considered. I'll hopefully be selling it in an effort to thin the herd.

Default Old bird hit a milestone

I've been driving my lazy GS for a few weeks and I saw it was approaching the 200K milestone last weekend and figured I'd take it somewhere nice this weekend to document it.

I failed to track it closely and this afternoon when I cranked it up to come home I see I missed the roll over!

Default Running rich, rough bad mpg...

I've been noticing this doll has been getting sluggish, rough running and recently threw code 43/44 (together) and since there was no test harness available for me to borrow I went into wild guess parts replacement mode adn replaced the O2 sensors based on miles and performance. No difference.

Going through troubleshooting I replaced the injectors with some remans based on the troubleshooting chart. No difference.

I was gazing at the book and just didn't feel good about the path it was taking through the resistor so I stood back and took it all in again, but this time ignoring the fact that I had gotten a code. I ruled out the FIV and IACV because my symptoms were constant... hot/cold didn't matter and the chance that FIV and IACV died at the same time didn't really make sense.

This car had gotten a brand new fuel pump, new FPR and new Fuel filter 20K ago so fuel delivery was pretty much solid with FP at 44+ PSI. And I realized before dumping more money into fixing the car I'd better go ahead and fail the emission inspection.

I took the car for it's emission inspection and it wouldn't idle in P/N, after fussing a bit we got it past the idle test and when we continured it just barely failed on HC, so when I got home I took a few minutes of meditation, opened the hood and on a hunch replaced the TW sensor which had kinda become my next suspect especially since I had one in stock. BINGO! The car smoothed out, got it's mojo back and passed emissions with flying colors.

Even though it's a lazy old slushbox the GS is my current spare and used for dd until I can get some necessary stuff fixed on the L(ush) so a little more life breathed into her this week.
