Default Help Jay find a car!

I've been having terrible luck browsing craigslist and my local newspaper trying to find a good, reliable car. So, I need some help! My goal is to have a car by the end of the week.

If you all could maybe take a few minutes and browse your local area's craigslist, it would be very helpful...

I'm not very picky on what kind of car it is, just as long as it's reliable and the mileage isn't too much... But I have been focusing on Honda Accords and I found a nice Civic today that was well taken care of. My price cap is at $2,700 maybe a bit more if necessary.

I'm located in Roanoke, VA and I'm willing to travel to surrounding states maybe a state farther if it's an absolute steal.

Thanks, guys!

I'm not just looking for a Legend. Anything and everything decent and reliable.

I'm very tempted to get the second one...

Wow, the first one looks very nice! The mileage is way too high though... I don't have the money to replace a BHG...

I tried calling the guy from the second listing twice from two different phones and the call didn't go through. :dunno:

Thanks for the links. Some were scams though. I called one of the Acura Legends and the guy was incomprehensible but I think it sold. And the other one (the SE) I don't want to waste my time with, from the look of the ad it's someone who more than likely really beat on the car.

-----

I'm more inclined to stay away from another Legend right now unless it's a trustworthy forum member's or it's someone who has really babied the car and especially has kept service records from at least major engine work such as replacing a head gasket.

It looks very nice. I'm not willing to pay that much for a G1 though... But holy hell it's tempting.

I called this guy and he said he replaced the TB, WP and radiator at 90K. I asked if the car had ever overheated and he said no. But I wonder why he replaced the radiator then?

THIS car gots my vote Jay ...and it can't get any cleaner than that! At 106K+ miles, it's worth the time to go have a look see.

Also right around your price range, might be able to talk 'em down - you never know. Good hunting young man!

Edit: Rad replacement could just be a precautionary measure. I say go test drive it
