Default Bose Radio - What is behind the "Push to Open"

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a G1 Bose head unit and have been scouring the internet.

Found this online at a JY across the country and am curious as to what is behind the door below the radio (I suppose I could request more photos, but maybe a guessing game is more fun...). is this a CD control center for a changer in the trunk? or is it the single CD player itself? Who's seen it before?

Also, if any of you have any Bose sound system parts please let me know.

Thanks!

So it is stock! Thanks for the answer.

Now that we're on the subject... I can't seem to find a wiring diagram for the Bose sound system. There are 4 wires and a 4 pin connector coming from each speaker/amp and since the original wiring in my car has been removed, a schematic would help a lot with for me re-installing the stock Bose system.

Ok, so this "stock bose radio" project has turned into more of a pathetic obsession... Here is an idea I'm toying with and wondered if any of you had any knowledge/insight (I'm sure you will!!)

Is it possible to remove an entire bose sound system (minus the HU) from a newer acura, either G2 or TL, amp and speakers, and hook it up to a G1 bose HU that I have? Can't seem to find a set of Amp'd G1 speakers so I was wondering if I could go this route, as they're way more available at the JY. Am I correct in assuming that the bose sound systems all had unamplified HU on the G2's as well?

Correct. Actually the G2 Bose is 4 small amps in one central unit. So that's something to consider

Tbh though, the effort and cash you put into that may be better spent on a modern system that will have much better quality.

If its the OEM look you're going for, and the previous owner converted your car to 4ohms you can get some pretty good OEM units and then do a line out converter to an amp and sub for more low end. That's what my KA8s previous owner did and I'm actually really happy with it.

It wont win competitions but quality is good enough for me in daily driving

Ok, thanks. Yeah, its mostly for the OEM look that I'm going for. one minute I'll think "this is stupid, just put aftermarket parts in there and a sub and it'll sound great" and the next minute I'll really want that OEM bose HU.
I currently have the OEM Base/L model double din radio and it looks fine, but doesn't sound amazing, but I'm sure with an amp and sub it'll sound better.
But this is good info to consider as I go to the JY and poke around.

I have one with the CDI player below instead of the compartment. I have no idea what part of it works or not as it was part of a center console that a thief exchanged for mine. He took my head unit and all of the related dash parts and put this one in the car. The only thing for sure is that the cassette door is missing so perhaps that part of the unit is no good but no telling for sure without hooking it up. Good for parts for sure.
