oh geez..... all the BS has started again.

Hustlav6 do your self a favor listen to DV8,
My first response was, wtf.. a T1 Legend @ 7700 rpm the saw it was you and right away the BS light came on.

Quote:
in my country dynamometers measure power on engine in other words "on crank shaft" ,
Incorrect if you would use any logic you see its reading out from your wheels,
True crank dyno's run of your flywheel directly those are the only ones that do direct crank hp.

A engine dyno......

Secondly could you PLEASE stop with "in my country" bs Poland isn't in a different galaxy.
Quote:
yes my engine spins to about 7700 revs i can show you a vid of WOT hit with trans at N , with engine redlines at 7700 rpms
Dohh......
Mate bouncing of rev limiter doesn't mean your making any useful out put at that given level.

I highly doubt that even with your ported IM a C32A would make max power at that high a RPM. you'd need a serious intake and head setup to support that.

Quote:
only possible remedy for this situation is replacing a trans for newer AT or MT,
Your having a laugh? i'm not even commenting this fail...

yes this is odd and different than US standards, but in my country dynamometers counts power on engine, probably as you said WHP + drivetrain loss = max hp at crank

if you use formula this formula (max torque x rpms of max torque)/ 7077 you will get (231 x 5250)/7077=171 KM(power unit) on wheels when you add value represented by lowest line which is max drivetrain loss of 85KM , 171+85=256 KM = 185 kW of max power it just make almost perfect sense

dyno operator told me the same when i asked wtf is that drop and huge spike after that, i was searching through their dyno data base and no automatic trans car was having even similar graph, so that is not something caused by dyno, operator or any equipment error

only possible remedy for this situation is replacing a trans for newer AT or MT, but that is not in my budget for now, because the car is going for sale

I wouldnt want to buy a Legend thats been revved near 8k that pours out blue smoke :\

If it was a linear line to 7700rpm and not a huge dip at 7200 then I would give the graph more credibility. Its also strange thats theres no 5250 intersect, but maybe thats an amercican dyno thing...

I dont doubt for a sec that anyone can rev to the 9k even, but why risk the engine for a few more ponies, if any at all?
... then he wonders why his lifters are ticking and puts in some strange weight oil...

Backwards.

don't wan't to litter in here more than some people did but in matter of fact i was unable to rev my engine further than 6500 rpms before putting telion type II ecu and type II cams, i'm revving the engine very occasionally to 5-6krpms

as for lifters i was witnessing this on whole oem setup, i was changing lot of oil types(now im driving on 10w40) and done miracles to get rid of that, vainly, than i stumble on vids of c32a engine revving and i thought they just sound like shit in comparison to c35a and i just accepted it , nothing to do with high revving engine

hustlav6,

Dude.... revving doesn't equal power. and hell no this isn't a 4 cyl K,F,B,H screamer
This is called OVER-REVVING

your not making any power and just damaging the engine.
And could you please stop with this non-sens it's so annoying it's making lose my cool..... and is saying something...

Secondly the blue smoke is rather nasty this is your 3th engine already right?
