thanx! it was frikkin tedious to say the least. but someones gotta do it. finding parts for this bike, with original paint is impossible.

every part in the picture had to be repaired as well.

FML! still have the side fairings to do next... they have flame graphics (vinyl) with clearcoat over them! errrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... any ideas for fast stripping other than just sanding slowly thru them??

Im pretty much just sanding thru the clear, lil by lil with 280 and peeling the stickers off as I go. Suuuuuuuuuux

You can use paint stripper...but you'll need to make sure to get the "composite safe" kind for non-metal parts. It's not as strong, so you can get the paint off one layer at a time, and it will probably soften the vinyl graphics making them easier to remove. I bought a gallon for about $60 and have stripped 2 bumpers, a motorcycle tank, 3 grilles, and still have half a gallon left to use. Part have to be cleaned thoroughly and left to dry for 24 hours before you can start primer tho.
