Default Engine wiring harness to ECU harness connectors

I am making a wiring harness for my C32A powered VW project. I am trying to simplify and get rid of unneeded wires. I find reference to the following connectors on Prodemand: C114, C199, C200, C326, C331, C362, C379, C516 and C517.

Which of these, if any, are the connectors that join the engine harness to the ECU harness? And, if you know, what sensors or functions pass through each of the connectors?

Good luck on the wiring

But really, I'm also curious about what can be deleted on the engine bay. Haven't come across a tucked Legend bay yet, just Photo(kickedthe)bucket pr0n so far.

I'm not really into the tucked wiring thing. I mean, it's awesome, but too much work on top of what I'm already doing.

On the positive side, I found out how to see pictures of the connectors in the Helm service manual link. So hopefully I can figure it out from there.

Default Engine wiring harness to ECU harness connectors

The complete wiring diagram is available in the wiki.

Specifically in the ESM, you will have a section for "connector photos". You should write down the connection plug number then go to the associated section and it will give you a pinout of each connector. Took some time to learn how to use the different sections, but having scrap paper was the biggest asset. Lol

This may not look like much progress, but it is!

That last picture is as far as I’ve gotten with the wiring. See my other thread about progress on other aspects of the build.
