Default Is there a recommended double din radio kit, or are they all the same?

Hey All,

I have a 91 LS Coupe and I'm currently researching a complete audio swap that I would like to accomplish within the next few weeks if possible ( OEM Sound console, Bose Amp, and Bose speakers replacement... don't worry, I won't ask which ones are recommended, as I've been snooping around the threads here to eliminate another repetitive post ...)

However, I have yet to stumble upon a thread asking which double din kits are recommended in terms of ease of installation and quality. Does it even matter what brand/ type I chose as long as my radio correctly fits into it? Are they all virtually of the same quality? Honestly, I want one that will last me for years to come, I'm not trying to replace the ish regularly as the years go by.

I'm currently looking at Pioneer double din CD & Smart Phone receivers to replace my OEM Bose cassette player (Pioneer FH-X820BS, Pioneer SPH-DA120 AppRadio 4, etc.)... has anyone had experiences with double din kits that were bogus? Does anyone know off the top of the head any aftermarket double din kits that would go perfectly with these models?
