Hi Paul, welcome to the forum!

You will find more helpful information here than you can get from almost any mechanic.

The forum is divided between 1st and 2nd Generation Legends, as well as the RL, commonly referred to as G1, G2, & G3. There are very few of us who still have G1's.

While some of the activity has moved to Fakebook, this forum is still the best place to research problems.

In what part of the country do you live?

Tell us about your Legend. Is it a slush box or a stick? Mileage? Any current problems you need help with?

I think you mean "17224-PL2-010".

The biggest problem you're going to have is the unavailability of parts.

You'll have to either fix the part, find it in a junkyard, or figure out how to retrofit a similar part from another model.

Look for pull-it-yourself type junkyards in your area.

On the bright side, I don't think this part is specific to the coupe, one from any G1 with a 2.7L engine should work.

Yeah, parts are getting hard to come by, even used ones.

Other than ebay, a few other places to search for parts:

https://www.rearcounter.com/

I found this guy through Rear Counter:

https://www.sterlingfixer.com/

The 825/827 Sterling and the Legend share most of the same parts.

Edit: Sterling Fixer has the intake tube. But he's asking $150 for a used one - YIKES!
