Default Ball Joints Again

Need to replace the lower ball joints on my 89 Legend AGAIN
This will be the third time in 90K miles. Why is this happening? I've used quality brands, including MOOG. Can somebody help a brother out??

I replaced the factory original lower ball joints in my coupe at 343,674 miles. Even at that mileage, they weren't worn out. I replaced them since I was doing the struts and replaced whatever was disassembled at the time.

I used OEM Honda replacements which I'd recommend but unfortunately, they're no longer available from the dealer.

You might be able to find them on ebay or perhaps some one here has some NOS OEM parts (51220-SD4-023) for sale.

Some Moog parts aren't what they used to be. A lot of their catalog is sourced from China anymore.

It may also not be the quality of the parts. A few questions:
  1. Are you running a modified suspension, i.e lowered?
  2. Aftermarket wheels with non-stock offsets?
  3. Who's doing the installation? Are they being pressed or hammered? (mine tapped out/in with a small hammer pretty easily)
  4. How do you know they're wearing out? Won't hold alignment?
  5. Non-stock alignment specs being dialed in?
  6. How worn out is the rest of the front end?

Suspension and wheels are stock. Most of the front end parts have been replaced. Ball joints are being chewed up. The boots get torn and the squeaking and popping starts. The noise is loud whenever I turn or go over any kind of bump. It happens every 2 years. I've spent a small fortune on the old girl and having to do this again is not good for my blood pressure.
