Announcement: NALM 2020 Postponed to Fall 2021 - AcuraLegend.Org - The Acura Legend Forum for All Generations of the Honda / Acura Legend; 1986 to Present

This announcement went out today.

Good Morning,

I hope you are all well. We are excited about hosting the next National Acura Legend Meet in beautiful Arizona.

Current events have given our proposed 16th Annual NALM event for October 7-11, 2020 some logistical and financial hurdles for many attendees. Most would be traveling from out of state (about 82%), some driving from upwards of 2,000 miles away.

Out of respect for all attendees as well as our host venues like the hotel, dealership, and restaurants, the consensus of the planning team was to push the event to 2021. The ability to have a successful group gathering of our size in Arizona this fall is not yet known, but all of these venues need time to adjust their plans so this announcement comes 3 months in advance.

The new dates will be formally announced in March 2021, but will likely be a carry forward of the existing timeframe which would be October 6-10, 2021.

In order to still be able to enjoy some time together on a smaller / more informal basis, there will be a scaled back 2-day Arizona event the first weekend of this October (Saturday 10/3 - Sunday 10/4) where local and regional members are invited to attend. There is no formal registration or fee. Please contact me if you want to be kept in the loop on that.

Registered attendees: The registration form is on pause until further notice. You may elect to receive a refund of any funds paid, or carry forward your already-paid fees to 2021 and we will honor the 2020 price. Let me know individually please.

Well I have been waiting and wondering if this years NALM WOULD actually happen. I had the logistics pretty much done. Well considering the nature of our pandemic this is probably for the best. I'm still hoping to do a nice roadtrip. Neither car is ready yet and seeing that my sedan was parked in front of my OWN house and somebody hit it (and of course left

) that made things worse. Thanks for the notice in advance Tyson and the rest of the NALM committee for this year. Now I may NOT have to keep the fire quite as hit under the technician who has one car in MAJOR SURGERY now!

Maybe a Southeast mini-NALM - if NC is open in October. I’m sure all of the businesses in Maggie Valley could use the extra cash.
