The latest in C32A engine developments

This morning with new cams installed and E85 our race engine put out
762 BHP @ 7400RPM on the engine dyno. That was the first pull so I expect more with some more tuning time.

But how do I get a set of these cams?! I need cams for my turbo sedan asap

You do the work that I have done, and you have them made. I started looking at how to sort out the cams some 15 years ago, and would have at least 1000 hours time in it.

Or are you willing to pay for part of my time?

And that does not include the time and cost incurred by my customer.

videos or it didn't happen.

It happened whether you get a video or not.

^^ he is just messing with ya. That was a common saying around these parts. Still is on some forums.

Buzzard, I e been asking for cams. You said you had 240 degree cams available.. I want atleast that. I’m going for over 1000whp. I need cams to push me over that barrier

No, I said I had 240 degree cams. I never said they were available.

Sounds baller, but I doubt you have seriously considered the reality of that statement.

Do you know if the engine block has sufficient structural strength to hold 1000whp? I don't know if it has sufficient for 800 BHP. Where we are now is unexplored territory, it has run 632 BHP for many years, and certainly endurance racing is harder than drag racing.

I have had to lower the boost to cope with fuel supply issues, Tuesday's peak was 737 BHP @ 8000 RPM on 14.5 psi. At the end of the ramp run I heard the engine go onto the start of the soft rev limiter. Thats 8500 RPM.
So we are operating the engine 2000 RPM in excess of the OEM spec.

This is a production Honda engine that was released with a maximum of 230 BHP. We are now in excess of three times the OEM power rating.

1000 whp will be at least 1200 BHP. This will put you at least 5.2 times the highest OEM power rating for the engine. Do you think Honda's engineers considered your or my need when designing this engine?

Nice work! I really am amazed the C32 is holding up to the stress of your experiments so well. I'm guessing the block is your only "stock" part.

I'd be happy with a set of cams that gave me the sound of a pleasantly lope of grace from the tubes rather than a prolonged fart.

Street-wise another 20-30 WHP on my C35 Coupe is about all I could practically see as useful from my DD. Once it becomes more of a toy then we'll see.
