l4zy415 Lookin' good. Still haven't found how to get the rears to 5-lug?

car2n No i just don't think there is anything for this upgrade i even went thru the whole hub/bearing timken catalog with no luck, but i belived that there is a combination for 89-90 rear ones because of the similiarities of the rear 89-90 suspension to the prelude and other honda/acura rear suspensions, for mine i think i will go with a hub 4-5 adapter from this site Custom 2 Piece Wheel AdaptersSkulte Performance Designs i think they are heavy duty...

l4zy415 Maybe it doesn't have to be from Acura/Honda. Maybe from another cars like Saturn or Hyundai. What are the specs for the rears on the 86-88?

car2n This is the bearing number for the rear #513051 I.D.1.3386, O.D. 2.6772

KAHruzer You might peruse this LINK for aftermarket add-ons

car2n This is really good! but is there anything for the 88 suspension?

car2n Sorry but the car still siting on car stands and has a bounch of parts removed like the whole front end, rear suspension, all doors, front knukcles, etc. is just that i am working in so many little projects and details and just by myself most of the time, but if you like i will post a zoomed out pic tomorrow...
Right now like to show one of the front spindale that i put on my bech bise to install NSX caliper and brake pads and try test the 19" rim this is the way it looks...

[IMG][/IMG]

car2n i am not very familiar with your engine but yes it might be similar but i don't belive SC will fit your engine

legendfire so what are you doing with the nsx shell?

l4zy415 Probably junk it cause it has some frame damage

1stgen5spd and what stick a 2.7 legend motor in it??

legendfire for one, does it look like i have a car with a 2.7 in it? and two, next time you feel the urge to say something like that, go ahead and think real hard about whether or not its actually as funny as you think it is

1stgen5spd you just didnt get it, i know your second gen is a 3.2, BUT the point was, he is taking the nsx engine out to put it in a 2.7 legend, so i figure maybe you would take and put a 2.7 legend motor back into the nsx............. get it now...... waiting...... nvmd..... it was a stupid joke, and now its gone *swoshing over the head motion*

legendfire ooo gotchu. ya im not in the best mood, got a god damn kidney stone.

1stgen5spd :uhh: oww..... feel for ya, neve had one, but i know they hurt

car2n This is the last item i had pending on the shfter project, because the shifter cable just made it to the position of previous shifter i had to cut, grind, and weld the shifter lever so i can make up for about 2 or 3 inches that came out short, first pic shows tge way the lever after the final installation, second pic shows how it looks after custom modification...

car2n Today i got rear adapters (4-5 lug) i went and set them to see how they look and they are ok but just 1.75" wider than stock these are some pics of the preliminary installation.

This a 2 piece adapter that will attach to the stock hub.

The first piece will go on with wheel nuts to your lugs.

Second piece will be bolted to the first piece using adapter bolts.

And last the wheel will go on as normally insatlled.

Excuse my mess i just i had not clean anything for the pics...

car2n And right now i started removing weight from all 4 doors i am planning on just leave the outer shell of the doors...

l4z whta are you going to have for windows?
car2n GE Lexan MR10 glass (flexiglass) but harder then flexiglass.
Tech Section - Back2Basics Part 5 - 5/7/03

car2n Today was my lucky day i just won an ebay auction for 96.00 dlls. a 720.00 rim!!! this rim is very expensive and very rare to find and new on ebay the exact model, color and size
http://i16.ebayimg.com/04/i/001/14/2a/bbf9_1.JPG

This will complete my damaged wheel search now i just need to find toyo proxes 19" tire...

car2n Today i made some progress got steering column and wheel and made preliminary installation, everything looks fine ready for final installation, monday will get new tire and rim and hope to get seat belts also...

i'm going to try to leave most of the G1 characteristics that can i will use the G1 dash with some custom details same color with some enhanced items... i am open for inputs on paints and ideas on body mods... thanks guys for your support.

car2n I just got my ebay super deal $96.00 rim... god i love it, i still don't belive...

car2n Well this is not very much of an update but just to show the start of the fuel cell installation, also i had trim the OEM dash to see how it will look, trying to keep or revive some of the G1 interior look without ading any more weight and a pic of the new fenders that i just got.

Excuse the dirty car and mess i hope i will prepare to paint the inside soon when all the little welding projects are finished.

This has to be at NALM 2010 and it should be on or near the West Coast.

If you're building an auto-X or wheel-to-wheel or drag track car, why handicap yourself and start with a Legend chasis? Legend is fine street car, but if you're building for the track, I would start with a track chasis, not a street chasis.

If you're building a sweet high performance street luxury sleeper, what's with the an SAE racer steering wheel and roll-cage?

Am I missing something?

Yes, you are right i had been asked this type of questions before and for myself it was very hard to take the decision of removing all of main engine/transmission components out of a running wrecked NSX, but as you know by now this is a complete diferent deal, my son loved, lived and died in a G1 Legend... he had two of them and we had this project planed before his accident and as you can see is a very rare project but in memory of my loved son i have to do it this makke me happy in a belived is making my son happy up there with his maker...

I wish i have more money to make this NSX body something nice i see it every day and i wish i can drive it here in el paso...

I just finished the rear NSX brake upgrade, i made a drawing of the custom bracket need to extend the calipper bracket using a CAD program then i sent it to the machine shop to be made of cold roll steel for 50.00 bucks, i am using NSX rear calippers and rotors the custom bracket and new bolts for the brackets everything fits ok, only thing need to modified the e-brake lever on the calipper to make work, and i had to flip the left-right calippers to make the bleed and banjo fitting to be on top of the cslippers.

Now i have rear and front NSX swaped brakes...
