Gaskets
You should also consider removing the intake manifold and throttle body and giving them a thorough cleaning...

If so, you'll need:

2.7 Manifold Gaskets (to heads) - 17105-PL2-003
(This item is apparently no longer available for the 2.5 through Acura...you'll have to find a suitable aftermarket replacement)

2.7 Bypass Valve Gaskets - 17121-PL2-S00

2.5 Upper to Lower Manifold Gasket - 17121-PH7-661


Inspect the condition of the Crack Cylinder Sensor (camshaft/TDC sensor) and replace it if needed:
Crank Cylinder Sensor - 37840-PL2-026


Also inspect the gaskets on the new engine...particularly the Valve, Side, and Oil Pan gaskets for any obvious leaks...

Drive Belts
Compressor Belt - 38920-PL2-013

Of course these things don't HAVE to wait until an engine swap...if you have to replace one of item in a group (like all those little cooling hoses) all its neighboring items are all probably about the same age and in similar condition so you might as well go ahead and replace them all to save yourself from having to go back in there and do it again in a few weeks or months...

Felt I should throw this in here.


Copy of the recall page for the C27 ignitor. I have had mine replaced by the dealer when the recall was issued to the original owner, there was a tiny dimple above the H on the firewall. Look for this, and also notice the difference in shape of the original and replacement ignitor.

Dawson, try calling Acura's 800 # for Customer Relation Dept., and seek assistance - Thanks for posting this btw ...mine has been taken care of many many moons ago; as you can see here!
