I was wondering if anyone has had there heads build? Valves, springs, 3 angle valve job, milled, ect.. I wanted to know approximately what it costs, and what your horsepower gaines where? Trying to see if the results justify the means

I did long ago and are redoing them now...
If your not going to drop the money for custom valves (1100) springs (100) port and polish (400) and some cams (400) your not doing much

Standard the heads flow fairly well. T2 heads are the clear choice if you can get them. A good 3 angle seat and valve re-face from a race shop is all you need. We use a race shop in Sydney that only does heads. Every time the heads or block are milled the cams will retard. This is not good as the cams are quite retarded stock. You need better springs if you want to rev it higher.

The standard Honda valves are made from very good material with very good heat treatment. The only reason I can see for custom valves is, you are moving to larger diameter valves. The Honda valves have proven durability for N/A and turbo endurance race applications.
