There's a way to remove stock springs on the car w/out using a compressor if you're feeling froggy. I've done it multiple times w/out issue. That being said, do it at your own risk.

Wait... We have two versions of the koni shocks? I've only ever seen the Reds where you can adjust the rebound....

There is only one model to the Konis which is just the Reds. They used to have the spring and shock combo that was painted a different color utilizing the eibach springs but that is the difference.

Okay so I checked your pictures and see your trim level JDM trim vehicle. I am though about this part of your statement. Unless some prior owner went through a lot of trouble converting the suspension you should have the standard spring and strut assembly these cars were engineered with by Honda/Acura. Our suspension changes/upgrades are pretty limited and basic. OEM style replacement struts (KYB makes them for Honda as OEM replacements now) or a Koni strut and separate spring setup, or a set of coil overs (or air bag system) of which K-Sports are the most common. The question is how do you want your car to ride should you NEED to replace your suspension. I have done KYB OEM replacements as well as Koni reds and lowering springs. My next suspension replacement is likely going to be K-Sport coil overs.

So yea even ive been shopping around. I'm not even interested in lowering my car but theres really no other choice for a fully loaded option it seems. And buying the kyb struts then sourcing oem springs which I cant seem to find anyway looks like it'll cost just as much if not more and then as mentioned the headache of compressing springs. If there is a fully loaded coilover option for around 5-6 i'd really be considering it as all ive found is in the neighbourhood of a grand. Or the group buy. we get sets for around 5-6 i'd need atleast 2.


lets get some links to these 5-600$ sets because I cant seem to find em!?

You could run 98-02 Accord coilovers with the proper forks, Raceland and Truhart are super cheap, probably ride like it too.
